Is this not the best way to celebrate the 50th day of kindergarten?! Dylan was all into making sure he was dressed up like the perfect "greaser" - down to the rolled-up jeans and slicked back hair. All the kindergartners got together the last half hour of school for their 50's dance.
Dylan waiting for instructions. Why doesn't he sit this quietly at home?
Come on, baby! Let's do the twist! This was my favorite dance - he was so into it. He said his favorite was the stroll. That's the one where you dance slowly down the aisle of kids with a girl! Is this an indication of what's to come in the future? Oh my.
Dylan with his best buddy Griffin. These two are so funny! They are so similar in personality - sometimes I wonder how they get along so well but they sure have fun together. They just take turns being in charge. Kindergarten at Anthem is seriously awesome and I love how much Dylan loves it!
Jake had his first golf tournament on Saturday. Except for the fact that it was waaay too hot (it had been cooler but jumped up to 95 degrees just for our golfing day) and that we have a lot to learn, Jake had a great time.
Jake and Patrick getting checked in. Patrick got to be his caddy - he had to take a test and everything! Serious business. We couldn't watch him play (you have to be over 5 to be in the gallery) but Patrick reported that Jake did really well for it being his first tournament. He says he definitely no Earl Woods and hinted that maybe some of the rest of the dad's might have been.
Here is Jake warming up. I think he looks just adorable - a little golfer! Patrick said his drive is beautiful but needs to work some on his chipping and putting. There are some unbelievably talented kids here in the Phoenix area. But Jake was the only one in his flight who had never competed before and was one of the youngest too.
A picture by Dylan of the family waiting to hear the standings. I took the little boys to Fashion Square and got out of the heat and got some new make-up. So it was a good, busy day all around!
She looks so tiny and precious in this picture. I can't wait to meet her! I'm not sure if I can hold out all the way until Thanksgiving - they change so much in the first month and I need a newborn snuggle!
Erica and Ryan said they were totally blown away by all her hair. I am loving it! Congratulations Erica and Ryan! My sister did great and I am so excited for them to begin the awesome adventure of being a family.
My nephew Hudson! So adorable, mellow and good-natured. The boys thought he was awesome too and pestered him way too much. He tolerated them pretty well. Dylan loved that Hudson had on an undershirt and promptly went upstairs to put on an undershirt of his own so that they could be twins.
I got to hold Hudson lots which was my favorite. Carter brought "nay-nay" downstairs for Hudson to cuddle with. I thought it was nice that he decided to share. He did not appreciate the suggestion from Chris, however, that Hudson take nay-nay home with him.
Look at this cutie! We had so much fun with them. Aunt Lindsey even jumped on the tramp with the boys and completely solidified her coolness. When Dylan came in, he asked if I could do a back flip. When I said no," he replied, "Well, Aunt Lindsey can!" He was in fine funny form today.
The proud boys with their cousin. We were so glad that they took the time to stop in and see us. Can't wait to see you for Thanksgiving!
