SYTYCD

Is it twisted and strange that this is probably my favorite piece thus far in this amazing season? It was dark and scary but I thought the choreography was amazing and really moving. I got all teary even. They did such a good job with the execution and bringing this struggle to life. I think the caliber of dancers this season is really high and that the choreography has been entertaining and thought-provoking. My favorite girl is obviously Melissa (the ballerina who does everything well) but now that Caitlin is gone, I love everyone who is left. It will be hard to choose.

P.S. Summer updates will being coming soon!

OMG! Alan and I LOVE SYTYCD! And we also loved the Mia Michael's "Addiction" piece. I am a big fan of Melissa, too...

Of course I LOVE it! I am a big Melissa fan and I really liked the addiction piece too! I was thinking that Melissa looked so familiar to me and I just realized that I danced with her at the LA classical ballet when I was in high school! Crazy!

Seriously how great was that piece! SO GOOD! I watched that whole show all over again after it was over. We too love Melissa and Ade. I am very interested to see how everyone does with new partners! I am very surprised Kupono got this far I think it is because of Kayla. Which I didn't think I was going to like her but she really gets into it. And I love Jeanette and Brandon!!! I could go on and on! I want to go to their show when they go on tour!

Chris and I love this show. I agree the dancers are wonderful this year and are making everything look effortless. I bet you like that ballerina. When she came out on points I looked at my hubby and said "oh my high school friend Nikki used to do that. I tried her shoes on once and about broke my ankle!"

SYTYCD is my secret obsession. Oh wait, it's NOT an obsession. Loved this peice as well. Kayla is my favorite dancer (sorry Melissa). Did you know we don't have to wait a whole year for another seaon? It's coming again this fall!!! I can't get enough.

Too dark... much too dark

I agree that they danced it amazing... perhaps too good is the problem. I am a Mia Michaels fan and it is overwhelming what she can DO... Create... and INVOKE with her choreography... which I agree is amazing... but DID NOT LIKE IT... dark, creepy, dirty, scary, gross... but again that was because Kayla and Kupono were TOO good in that role... believe or not I actually squinted and looked away once. I didn't enjoy going to that place... to see a pretty girl that messed up and not in control... yuck... and interestingly enough, I couldn't get her (the character's) father out of my head. I had to go back and rewind Melissa's disco for a cleansing (seriously)... she is "off the charts" in everything that she does... that's very funny, Melissa is totally my favorite too... in her own style, in every style. I am fine with admitting that I love this show and I love dancing.

Perhaps that has something to do with my Mom and Sisters. ;)

Just came across your blog from a comments section and thought I'd stop by due to the similar names. That was my favorite dance too! I'm bummed they split up the partnerships, but my sister just got us tickets for when they tour so I'm looking forward to seeing it live!

Cute family photos and a lovely blog!
